Teething with skibz

I am so tired that I am struggling to function today, I’m not going to lie to you, my day is fuelled with cake, chocolate and mugs of tea with a small basket of fruit to balance it out. I’m tired as Yo has been up most of the night dribbling, crying and clinging to me for comfort. Yo has been teething for a little while, and the night we spotted a solitary tooth start to poke through her gum was actually a huge relief! We were delighted as it is such a great milestone, and this is why she has been so horribly unsettled, though now she has two teeth and a third on the way combined with a cold, sleep feels some what a luxury, but she’s worth it! Snoozing in the #Snuzpod

Baby Yo is 16 weeks old, where on earth have those 16weeks gone?! We’ve been using our Snuzpod for 16weeks now, that’s 4weeks longer than I used a moses basket with either of my older boys. Yo is a very tall baby already, even today the health visitor commented on how tall my children are, but I guess with tall parents it was inevitable! Being tall as a baby means we frequently grow out of things before we “should” according to the instructions, but I’m delighted to say there is still plenty of room in the Snuzpod! Continue reading

Ohyo – hoho! Win two Ohyo 1000s!

Back in the summer while heavily pregnant, I got in touch with Guy at Ohyo, I was keen to feature the squashable bottle on the blog and felt it’d be great while I was in hospital and to carry in my bag once baby arrived. The Ohyo did not disappoint, baby arrived very quickly and the only thing from my carefully packed hospital bag which I even had with me was my Ohyo! It made drinking during and after labour easy, and so I stayed well hydrated and actually was encouraged to drink a little more, I also had lots of comments from the staff about what a cool little bottle it was. I knew back then that there was the hope of a bigger bottle to come soon, and when Guy got in touch to see if I’d like to give one of the all new Ohyo 1000’s a go, I couldn’t wait! Continue reading

Baby is 15weeks!

Yes, you read that right, baby Yo is 15 weeks old! I can’t believe how time has flown, and looking at the photographs I’ve been taking since she arrived it’s amazing how many changes have taken place. The change from newborn to young baby was huge, suddenly moving from a tiny baby who barely noticed I was there, to one who fixes their eyes on me surveys my face, and smiles at me in such a way that my heart crumbles.

National Trust Christmas Event at Mottisfont #CountryKids

The weather was amazingly mild this weekend and with the boys over excited at the thought of Christmas on the way I wanted to get out and about with a festive visit to Mottisfont to see their Nutcracker event. We’re National Trust members and I have to say it’s been great value for us this year, we’ve seen lots of places and it’s encouraged us to go on days out even when it’s raining! There is a Nutcracker trail, and they suggest donations of £1 (on top of entry fee if you’re not members) the trail gets children to explore the grounds and find letters which spell out a festive phrase. Although we did do the trail, I have to admit the boys were more impressed with the decorations and lost interest in the trail half way round. Continue reading
