Bright Starts Baby Gym – Review

With Christmas coming, I’m on the look out for great toys for baby which are great value and fun too. There are so many baby toys on offer, deciding which to buy can be difficult! I think a baby gym is a lovely gift idea, they’re ideal for baby to play on and great for tummy time too! We were sent a  Bright Starts Baby gym to review, it has an RRP of £25 and is brightly coloured with four detachable toys.

The baby gym is easy to put together, you will need scissors to unpack it, there are no batteries required as there no lights or sounds (other than jingle jangle noise from the lion!).  The toys attach to loops on the arches, these I did find are a little fiddly and I do fear that my 3 year old may pull the loops off the arch if he is over zealous when exploring the baby toy! There are 4 toys,(a mirror, teething ring, rattle ring and a lion toy), all can be positioned on any of the multiple loops on the arches, this is great as you can move them around as baby is playing and also as baby gets bigger position them to encourage them to roll, crawl or stretch!

The lion toy is hugely popular as it makes a jingle jangle bell sound when it is shaken (or kicked!), it now gets taken with us in the car as it is so popular!

It is worth remembering that the playmat can also be used without the arches, so when Yo outgrows the arches, we can continue to use the mat for her to play on. So the important question is how popular is the gym with baby? Well, Yo loves it! She actually seems to prefer this baby gym to her musical one. She seems very attracted to all the colours, and really uses her arms and legs when she is playing on the Bright Starts gym rather than just laying on her musical gym!

The Bright Starts Gym is a light weight baby gym, bright coloured, easy to use and great value for money, we’re delighted with it!
