Meal Plan W/C Monday 5th November 2018
Meal planning, I love to hate it. You see, meal planning is essential in our house, or we get stuck in a rut. I don’t enjoy planning the weeks meals, but it is essential. By writing a meal plan, we eat better and spend less too. So it’s really a win – win situation.
Monday
Breakfast – Porridge
Lunch – Sandwiches
Dinner – Pasta with chunky vegetable sauce and cheese
Tuesday
Breakfast – Toast
Lunch – Pasta (leftovers)
Dinner – Pizza for the children as they’re having friends over. We will have beans on toast later.
Wednesday
Breakfast – Cereal
Lunch – Sandwiches
Dinner – Gammon, mash and vegetables
Thursday
Breakfast – Porridge
Lunch – Sandwiches
Dinner – Chunky vegetable Soup with dumplings
Friday
Breakfast – Cereal
Lunch – Sandwiches
Dinner – Homemade fish & chips
Saturday
Breakfast – Toast
Lunch – Pasta
Dinner – Cottage Pie with sweet potato topping.
Pudding – Ice Cream
Sunday
Breakfast – Porridge
Lunch – Soup
Dinner – Sausages and mash
Pudding – Apple Crumble and Custard
I need to do some baking this week to add bits to lunch boxes. The children are quite keen on home baked bits in their lunch boxes which is good as it saves money and saves on plastic waste too. I’d like to have a go at making some fruity muffins, but the hens appear to have stopped laying at the moment so I need to find an egg free recipe!
