Many people dream of building their own home, getting to design things exactly how they imagine. I often imagine how my dream home may look. Taking the time to visualise the tiny details, which would make it uniquely mine. I think this is the greatest appeal to building your own home. You can really make you mark. And, if you want a home to use reclaimed items, or be more eco-friendly, it is perhaps easier to add those things to your new build design. I know a few people who have had their homes built. There have been challenges along the way, but I think each of them have been delighted with the homes they have created.

For a moment, just consider, you’ve bought your land, had your dream home designed and got any permissions you need. Then what? What should you be considering with your site?
