Packing for my summer holiday has always been a hand luggage only affair, I hate waiting to collect luggage, so always travel light! Yes, OK, sometimes to my peril..I’m thinking back to the year I was freezing cold for an entire holiday as the weather took a terrible turn for the cold..but.. hey..that was once! So, here are my tips for packing light, with my summer holiday fashion essentials!
Vests, a couple of plain vests are essential on any summer holiday, I love the vests from Long Tall Sally as they fit me really well and they’re bit of an all year round wardrobe staple, so I get great value with lots of wear from each vest. I also always pack a brightly coloured light weight cardigan, keep off the evening chill, give a dress an alternate look and light as a feather to pack into your luggage – perfect for summer holiday packing!
Linen Trousers, these will take you sight-seeing, or to dinner, and they are light-weight enough you can roll them easily into your hand luggage (roll them to prevent excessive creases!). I love the slouch linen trousers from Simply Be, as they come in a Long leg, perfect for me, and the elasticized waistband makes them extremely comfortable!
A tunic, I love this ruffle tunic from Simply Be as the ruffles cover my Mum tum, and it looks fab with shorts, leggings, or linen trousers! It also doesn’t crease so is ideal to pack for a holiday!
I always pack a pair of heels, a pair of flip-flops. Making sure I wear a comfortable pair of flat shoes while I’m travelling, so I have shoes for every occasion! I never worry too much about accessories, though I do love statement necklaces as they look just as good on the beach as they do with a pretty dress! I have seen some beautiful necklaces at https://www.loveantiques.com OH! and I always pack a maxi dress, as I love the way I can wear them day through evening wherever I am – my definite travel essential!
So, they’re my packing light fashion essentials, what are yours?
