Care for your feet – #NationalFeetWeek

Collaborative Post

When as the last time you thought about how to pamper your feet? I was delighted to take part in National Feet Week’s 3rd twitter party last week. Talking all things feet! I have to confess, I haven’t really given my feet much TLC during the latest lockdown. My feet have been in socks or slippers, chipped nail polish, rough skin.. I’ve just ignored it all. But, summer is on the way, and my sandals are waiting. Armed with a box of goodies from National Feet Week, I’m going to take control of my feet this week!

In order to give products a fair trial, and proper review, there are some which I will mention in this post, but review on another. As, I want to really try each product out before writing about them!

Foot Scrubs

Foot scrubs are such a good way to keep your feet clear of dry skin, and looking summer ready. I’ve been sent a couple of foot scrubs as part of the pamper box. Foot scrubs are easy to use at home, and I always feel like I’ve really pampered myself after using them!

Last week, I tried out Palmer’s Coconut Sugar Foot Scrub. It’s got quite a minty fragrance – it’s Peppermint and coconut. It is grainy, so it really feels like it is working to remove all the rough bits of skin! The scrub has coconut oil in too, which helps soften and moisturise my feet too. Actually I read an interesting article on the benefits of coconut oil, and if nothing else it definitely smells amazing! Palmer’s Coconut Sugar Foot scrub, I applied by hand, but you can apply using a pumice stone – something I intend to try next time using the pumice which I received from The Clear Confidence Company. I like the Coconut Sugar scrub, I think it really helped soften my feet.

Foot Moisturisers

The one foot product I do use very frequently is a foot moisturiser! Post bath, I apply a thick layer to my dry feet, add clean cotton socks and climb into bed. I wake up to softer feet – with really no effort at all! Last year I got a tube of CCS Foot care cream, and it is a firm favourite. It is a lovely cream, which absorbs easily into your feet. It does have quite a strong fragrance – which I think is eucalyptus. This cream actually recommends applying before bed and using with socks. I think applying before bed is a great way to make applying foot moisturiser part of your daily routine. A super simple way to keep feet baby soft!

No Fuss

One of the main reasons my feet get neglected is due to lack of time. The most pampering my feet normally get is some foot moisturiser before bed. So quick and easy solutions are needed! Palmers Heel Repair is super easy to apply!

Palmer's Heel Balm

Just apply the stick directly to your heels and any rough patches on your feet. Texture wise, think of a lip balm, it’s a thick salve. It is quick and not at all messy to apply, and improved the appearance of my dry heels almost instantly. I did dab the excess off before walking around, as I applied it quite liberally. Within a few hours my heels looked and felt softer. So I will definitely be using this again, especially as it smells heavenly too. With a RRP of under £5 I think this is a great value product! It would be great for taking on holidays too (when we can go on holidays again!) as it is quite portable. The negative, I don’t like the product coming in so much plastic packaging, as the tube is plastic, but also arrives in a plastic outer pack.

Look out for my next post on how to care for your feet, coming soon!
