Finding Dory Aquabead Playset – Review

Finding Dory, if you’ve not seen it, make time to watch it over the Easter holidays! Starring Dory (of course!) from Finding Nemo, and the story may be similar, but I think I almost prefer Finding Dory to the original film.. ANYWAY.. Aquabeads sent us their Finding Dory and Friends Aquabeads Play set for review, and here’s how we got on!

Finding Dory Aquabeads

The set contains enough beads to make 4 characters. The characters you can make with this pack are Bailey, Destiny, Hank and of course Dory. We will definitely be buying some bead refill packs so we can rebuild the characters. The great thing about Aquabeads is they are a no mess kids craft. They could also be made as a party activity and then form part of the party bags.

Our favourites from the pack were Destiny and Dory.

Destiny the Whale Shark, my 6-year-old was seriously impressed with this character, It came out so well! I think this is perhaps our favourite Aquabeads character so far! Destiny really comes alive Aquabeads creation.

There’s course Dory, my eldest son couldn’t wait to have a go building Dory! It’s a smaller character, but really detailed. It took a little more concentration to build. Aquabeads are really good for helping develop fine motor skills!

Aquabeads are really popular in our house. I like the fact they’re not messy and that their creations can be stored easily once made! The children like making their favourite film characters. Currently the Dory characters are hanging on the boys bedroom wall making a really fun feature wall. My older son has started to try to create his own designs, another reason to buy a couple of extra refill packs!
