Although cold, Saturday was gloriously sunny, and we took the opportunity to get outdoors with the children to burn off some energy! We drove to Victoria Country park, it is on the edge of Southampton water and a great place to take children. It was such a glorious day that you could easily mistake our photos for a summer holiday adventure, but read on and the hats and coats give the season away!
The boys loved running along the little shingle beach and collecting shells, and throwing stones. I must admit I enjoyed it too – there’s something about the beach which makes me come alive and feel young again, we ought to go more often.
There’s a lovely children’s park some of which is wheel chair friendly. The boys loved the zip-wire and the slides, and we could have easily spent the entire afternoon with them racing around just the park! We had a lovely afternoon, and I would recommend anyone to visit, they even took payment for my car parking in the visitor centre as we didn’t have enough change for more than an hour, and I knew we’d want to stay longer!
