Wellies at the ready! #CountryKids

Jumping in puddles wearing wellies!
Jumping in puddles wearing wellies!

At the moment, it still feels very Autumnal, though winter signs are there with lots of trees having lost all their leaves. Part of me is looking forward to the colder days, as there’s nothing quite as lovely as crunching through heavily frosted grass, and I know the boys are hoping for snow! The weather for the last week has been mild but wet, encouraging us to stick on some wellies and head out to explore. Both boys love bounding about in their wellies and jumping in the puddles, the 3 year old has new welly boots and has been desperate to try them out  in some puddles! There was plenty of puddle jumping, leaf kicking and mud squelching, as well as the weekly dose of exploring, finding lots of fungi and even some winter roses in bloom!

Have you got out and about this week? I’d love to hear about it, so do leave a comment to let me know!

Looks like a great afternoon out enjoying autumn, I don’t think it’s autumn until there’s been the slightest amount of puddle jumper. I love their wellies, very funky. Thanks for Linking up with Country Kids.

Good to see others on #countrykids heading out in the wellies, although it’s pretty required footwear if you’re going at all off the beaten path now. I managed to capitalise on a sunny afternoon to take my toddler along a nearby footpath into the countryside. Simple but really lovely.
