Back in the summer while heavily pregnant, I got in touch with Guy at Ohyo, I was keen to feature the squashable bottle on the blog and felt it’d be great while I was in hospital and to carry in my bag once baby arrived. The Ohyo did not disappoint, baby arrived very quickly and the only thing from my carefully packed hospital bag which I even had with me was my Ohyo! It made drinking during and after labour easy, and so I stayed well hydrated and actually was encouraged to drink a little more, I also had lots of comments from the staff about what a cool little bottle it was. I knew back then that there was the hope of a bigger bottle to come soon, and when Guy got in touch to see if I’d like to give one of the all new Ohyo 1000’s a go, I couldn’t wait!
The Ohyo 1000’s are a bigger bottle holding double the volume of the original ohyo, they also have a more grown up feel to them, there’s no straw function, instead an easy flip up lid. There is the addition of a clip to the bottle, perfect for those wanting to use the bottle for hiking or outdoor sports. The bottles are durable, and I’ve already lost the one I had to review to Mr G who apparently needs it more than I do – apparently it’s perfect to take to work as when empty they fold down small enough to sit in a suit pocket. The bottle currently only comes in two colours, orange and green, and I’m hosting a competition where one winner will get one of each colour.
