Messy Monster – Talking Soft Toy

Messy goes to Okido, is one of Yo (and my!) favourite CBeebies programmes, so she was thrilled to be sent a large talking Messy Monster from Golden Bear to review!

Messy is incredibly soft to touch, he’s designed to be suitable from birth. Messy Monster is a talking toy, BUT, he is still very soft and squidgy to squeeze, there is no hard battery pack. This is I assume why the batteries are not replaceable, so Messy Monster is meant to speak for around 6 months, and then when he stops, he is just a lovely cuddly toy. I have to admit I am slightly disappointed that his batteries can’t be replaced, as I think my daughter may be a bit sad when he stops chatting, however I’m fairly sure they will continue to have plenty of fun together when that time comes!

Messy Monster is the perfect size for a toddler to carry, and he is incredibly accurate to the tv character we see on CBeebies, there has been such careful attention to detail when Messy Monster was created – even down to the different textures of fur, and embroidered facial features. Yo loves to sit hugging him while watching the Messy Goes to Okido on CBeebies pressing his tummy and joining in with “BalaaBalaaBoomBoom!”.
